 Third Level Support Engineer - Network Timing. Responsibilities includes but not limited to engineering support to Field technicians and to Second Level support during equipment Installation, Operation and Maintenance. Interface support between the field technicians, engineering and the equipment vendors. Last point of escalation of timing systems or network timing troubles before contacting equipment vendor. 7 by 24 on call support. Travel to remote location to do equipment FVOs (Field Verification Operations) along with on site troubleshooting and repair. Writing and reviewing technical documents such as TAB's (Technical Application Bulletins), FMB's (Field Modification Bulletins).

SATELLITE BUSSINESS SYSTEMS (SBS)

Regional Interconnect Engineer: June 81 till May 85.Previous Position; Regional Interconnect Engineer. Responsibilities included but not limited to, reviewing of circuit acceptance records for both digital and analog circuits. Reviewing daily and monthly remote line testing results for both SBS long distance network and private customer networks.Providing technical support and interface to both field personnel and Engineering for Voice and data.Senior Field Engineer. Supervising Field engineers in day to day system Operation, maintenance and repair of DMS-250 digital switch, Satellite Communication Controllers (SCC) and Satellite Earth Stations. Supervising hardware and software upgrades to all equipment. Ensuring newly installed equipment is installed and optioned correctly prior to being cut into service. Insuring proper installation and maintenance of telco circuits and customer data circuits. Provide technical support to other Field Engineers.

Field Engineer: Responsibilities included but not limited to installation, Operation and maintenance of SBS long distance and private customer Network Access Centers (NAC). Installation and testing of various types of voice and data grade telco line. Profromace of system hardware and software upgrades on the of DMS-250 digital switch, Satellite Communication Controllers (SCC) and Satellite Earth Station equipment. Interface with customer service centers and to customers to help resolve their network problems.

U.S. Army May 74 till May 81

 Instructor at U.S. Army Signal School at Fort Gordon, Ga. Instructor in Fixed station Satellite Communications. Covering Operation and Maintenance of a fixed Station to Included signal flow, DC power, AC power, RF, Multiplexes (TDMA, FDM). Basic Digital theory, Voice Privacy equipment and Radio systems. Other Positions; Assistant Shift Supervisor on fixed satellite earth station Okinawa, Japan. Supervising day to day operation, maintenance and repair of an FRC-46 satellite system. Typhoon Shift supervisor, responsible for maintaining system and crew during typhoons Team member and team leader on various tactical satellite communications Systems. These systems where being used in an research and development along with simulated and near Combat conditions.
