As one of the groups top producers, the company saved $2,000,000 at the end of 2000. Responsible for the grooming of DS1 circuits onto optimal DS3 routing with local exchange carriers. Responsible for auditing existing circuits for non-cost efficient circuit routing. Responsible for tracking all grooming projects including creating and engineering local exchange carrier orders in compliance with industry standards. Responsible for training new personnel in the group.
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER II October 1998 to July 1999
Responsible for managing the overbuilds of fiber and cable overbuilds in the Southwestern region of the U.S. Responsible for identifying the need for additional fiber growth capacity and ensuring physical space requirements. Responsible for verifying power availability and equipment rack assignments within the terminals. Coordinated with the vendors to ensure installation of their equipment. Responsible for the access DS3 growth capacity as well as forecasting the annual and five-year plans for both fiber and access DS3 growth projections for the regions.

Responsible for provisioning DS3 circuits in support of internal and external MCI customers. Interfaced with account teams and MCI sites to ensure timely delivery of new DS3 installations. Responsible for approval process of all DS3 orders. Responsible for creating and engineering local exchange carrier orders in compliance with industry standards. Responsible for extracting weekly reports that reflected the previous weeks statistics in regards to DS3 approval/disapproval, on time completions, clean order reporting, and backlog status.
DATA SUPPORT ENGINEER I February 1994 to June 1996
Responsible for troubleshooting activities for impaired digital and analog services of DS0 and DS1 level circuits. Utilized network performance monitoring equipment to identify and correct circuit degradations for all aspects of MCI data communications. Interfaced with MCI operations, marketing, national telephone companies, and internal/external customers to expedite isolation and repair of complex data troubles. Worked directly with various telephone companies to resolve circuit impairment issues.
